Live cooking demonstrations are presented by traveling guest chefs as entertainment for residents. Traveling chefs educate diners on the origins of the recipes, cooking methods utilized, health benefits and cultural significance of dishes while they cook. Meal preparation is executed in front of diners, who are encouraged to eat and actively engage in discussions about the tastes, smells, visual appeal, and other aspects of the dish(es). Themed culinary creations may hail from countries such as France, Thailand, and South America. The traveling guest chef series brings a lively atmosphere and enticing aroma into the dining room providing a refreshing change of routine for the active senior diner.
